Recently, Dr. Hu Zhigang, Director of the Industrial Design Research Institute of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, led a four-member industrial design team to conduct research in Liandu District and Yunhe County. This marks the university’s second in-depth industry docking in Lishui focusing on bamboo and wood products, mechanical design and other sectors, following the visit of footwear and leather experts from the School of Environment and Resources to Qingtian County in early April.

Accompanied by officials from local competent authorities and person-in-charge of the Lishui Technology Transfer Center of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Dr. Hu Zhigang and his team visited Lishui Industrial Design Base, Lishui Like Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Yunhe Wooden Toy Association, Xinyun Toy Company, Jintaier Wooden Toy, Taole Toy Company and other enterprises. They conducted extensive discussions on product research and development, conceptual design, traditional product upgrading, talent training, intellectual property protection and platform construction, reaching a preliminary intention for industry-university-research cooperation.

In recent years, relying on its disciplinary advantages in the light industry field, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology has actively carried out industry-university-research cooperation with Lishui. The university settled in Lishui Academy & University Industrial Technology Service Center in 2012, established a technology transfer center, and stationed professional teams in Lishui Industrial Design Base. It has carried out technical docking in footwear manufacturing, leather processing, bamboo and wood product R&D and other fields, and achieved a number of in-depth industry-university-research cooperation projects.
